What is Derma Rolling?

Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI) using a Derma Roller is proving to be a safe, simple and fast method of treating wrinkles and scars. Compared to other, more aggressive resurfacing lasers and deep chemical peels, Derma Rolling allows the epidermis to remain intact by gently opening the pores and reinvigorating the skin’s natural healing process without damaging it. It looks somewhat like a miniature paint roller and is designed to stimulate collagen and regenerating new skin cells.

As we age, collagen levels drop, loosing suppleness and elasticity and that is when wrinkles begin appearing. The Derma Rolling action encourages new skin cell production by essentially waking up the natural healing process and rejuvenating the skin, producing more collagen. This allows the creams, oils and anti-aging products you already use to work more effectively. Derma Rolling allows deeper penetration into the skin, enhancing the benefits significantly.

Procedures can be done on the face, neck, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and even breasts and buttocks. Upper lip creases and fine wrinkles can respond very well to this treatment. It takes roughly 30 days for collagen to recycle, so it is suggested that you wait a month to 6 weeks between treatments.
